A New Approach to Regenerative Design

The Institute of Integrated Regenerative Design (IIRD) is a nonprofit education and research institute working to change how human systems are designed.

At the heart of its work is the Integrated Regenerative Design Framework, a whole-systems approach that brings ecology, technology, economics and human culture together. Through education, research and professional development, IIRD equips people across different disciplines with the tools to create systems that work in partnership with the living world.

The challenge was to create a digital platform capable of communicating that depth without making it difficult to understand or navigate.

WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

A Visual System Built Around the Content

IIRD deals with big ideas and a considerable amount of detailed information. The website needed to feel credible enough for academics and professionals while remaining approachable to people discovering regenerative design for the first time.

We developed a spacious, structured visual approach that gives the content room to breathe. Strong typography, natural imagery, illustration and clear visual hierarchy help break complex subjects into digestible sections and guide people deeper into the organisation’s work.

The result is a website that feels intelligent and considered without becoming overly academic or difficult to use.

UX / UI & Digital Design

Finding a Clear Path Through Complexity

IIRD’s website needed to organise a large and interconnected body of content, from its nine-part Integrated Regenerative Design Framework and specialist education tracks to research, membership and professional resources.

We mapped the site around how people need to explore that information, using clear navigation, wireframes, content hierarchy and a flexible visual system of layouts, diagrams and iconography to make complex ideas easier to understand.

The result is a more intuitive digital experience where different audiences can find their way, understand how ideas connect and move naturally to the next step, without losing the depth that makes IIRD’s work distinctive.
