Effective Storytelling
in Webpage Design
Flow’s “About Us” page hadn’t been updated in 7 years, and a lot has happened since the original design.
Our brief was to tell the incredible story of the father and son duo who, through dedication and hard work, have revolutionised the beekeeping industry. By using structured content, parallax long-scroll design, and subtle animations, we were able to tell this inspiring story in an engaging and dynamic way.





WEBDESIGN & MARKETING
Black & Yellow Friday Campaign
The brief was to create a fully responsive marketing campaign to promote a series of Black Friday offers. Putting their own spin on it, the event was named Black & Yellow Friday to celebrate bees. The design needed to incorporate both colours without feeling too dark while also featuring floral elements and the distinctive hexagonal shape of the honeycomb.
A dedicated campaign page was designed to balance promotional and product information, supported by a series of targeted emails. Unique flowers with delicate petals helped the campaign stand out, while carefully balanced colours maintained the promotional impact without compromising the brand identity.
POPUP & LEAD MAGNET
Beekeeping Cheat Sheet
The brief was to create a series of promotional pop-ups to advertise a mini beekeeping course and a downloadable cheat sheet for email capture.
The pop-ups needed to communicate one of three core themes: Time—highlighting the two-week course duration, Expertise—emphasising the brand’s authority in beekeeping, and Confidence—encouraging users not to feel overwhelmed by beekeeping.

Gift Guide Campaign
This email campaign was designed to inspire Flow Hive customers with holiday gift ideas.
Each email featured an interesting bee fact showcased through a short GIF animation, creating a visually captivating element. The animations were strategically used to grab attention and create a scroll-stopping moment in the recipients’ inboxes, encouraging higher engagement.
THUMBNAIL CONCEPTS
Meet The Beekeeper Youtube
Flow needed YouTube thumbnails for their Meet the Beekeeper series, with a broad brief focused on eye-catching visuals. Each thumbnail had to align with the first 10 seconds of the video to maintain consistency. We developed four distinct creative directions, each with a full rationale.
The team loved them all, appreciating the balance of engaging design and strategic alignment with the content.
